Wiring, Eaves, and Psalsta

Today the rough-in of all electric wiring began.

Also, the roof crew continues to install shingles and the framing crew began to finish the eaves and exterior cornices.

And, it was arguably a great day in the history of culinary innovation.  We were supposed to have spaghetti for dinner and I was supposed to do the cooking.  I started boiling the pasta and cooking up the burger, and then realized that all three of jars of spaghetti sauce were actually salsa.  So the girls were given two options:  share the little pesto we had left in the frig, or try a little salsa on their pasta and meat. Ellie was the only person who responded, “Salsa!”  When she tried and loved it, I offered to sprinkle some cheese and break up some lettuce on it, to which she agreed.  She exclaimed so much about the new dish that all her sisters wanted to try it.  And psalsta was born.

Week 8: Masonry & Mechanical Systems

There will be a lot going on this week:  The masons will take care of all the exterior brickwork, windows and sunlights will be installed, the roof will be flashed and shingled, and plumbing and electrical wiring will be roughed into the walls and ceilings.

Today the windows started going in.

And the masons began work, starting with building up the front chimney for the new roofline.
